Selected Group entered a partnership with Nevel through RegEnergy Frövi AB in 2025, to operate the energy infrastructure of its greenhouses in Frövi, Sweden.
Through the collaboration, Nevel supports both the existing greenhouse and the expanded facility currently under construction, combining deep expertise in energy infrastructure with RegEnergy Frövi’s sustainable food production model.
The partnership ensures reliable, efficient and future-proof energy solutions for greenhouse operations. Nevel is responsible for investing, operating, maintaining and continuously optimizing the energy infrastructure, enabling RegEnergy Frövi to focus fully on greenhouse cultivation, continued development and future growth.
RegEnergy Frövi operates a state-of-the-art 100,000 m² greenhouse where tomatoes are produced using waste heat from local industry. This setup enables climate-smart, resource-efficient cultivation and contributes to a resilient domestic food supply in Sweden, including the ability to deliver locally grown tomatoes throughout the year.
Adjacent to the existing facility, a second 100,000 m² greenhouse is nearing completion. Once fully operational, the expanded site will double production capacity and further strengthen year-round supply of locally produced tomatoes to the market.
“Nevel is an experienced and highly qualified energy partner for us. Their role goes beyond day-to-day operations, supporting innovation and the continuous improvement of our overall efficiency.”
Ingrid Schuster
CEO of RegEnergy Frövi AB
As part of the ongoing partnership, Nevel invests in and manages energy infrastructure solutions designed to secure efficient, reliable and sustainable operations across both greenhouses in Frövi. Continuous optimization and long-term asset performance are at the core of the collaboration, supporting stability, scalability and the continued development of the RegEnergy concept.
“Nevel was a natural choice for us. They bring proven expertise in energy infrastructure across the Nordics, along with the operational scale and know-how needed to support this project.” says Frederik Gundorph Olesen, CEO of Selected Group and Board Member of RegEnergy Frövi AB.
