The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared vision for global sustainability. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the Agenda are a call for action, action taken in global partnership and by all – states, organisations, individuals, and companies.
Nevel is committed to enhancing the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. With our core business, we focus especially on the following Goals.

To increase share of renewable energy and improve energy efficiency, our commitment is to become carbon neutral in our own energy production by 2030.

To promote safe and secure working environments for all workers, our commitment is to offer our employees, partners and visitors a safe, healthy working environment and building a health and safety culture. Our safety agenda is based on zero injury principle and focuses on preventive safety measures.
9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
To upgrade infrastructure and make them sustainable with increased resource-use efficiency and greater adoption of clean and environmentally sound technologies, our commitment is to invest in and build advanced utility infrastructure and help drive sustainable societies.
10 – Reduced inequalities within and among countries
To empower and promote the social, economic and political inclusion of all, our commitment is to promote equal opportunities, good leadership and personal development.
12 – Responsible Production and Consumption
To achieve sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources and reduce waste through recycling and reuse, our commitment is to develop sustainability of our energy production and supply-chain management practices, support our customers in their transformation efforts and to provide our real-estate customers with care-free access to energy and a reliable and secure future-proof energy platform.

To take urgent action to combat climate change and its impact and strengthen resilience to climate related hazards, our commitment is to ensure risk mitigation planning for major natural and environmental disasters, and raise awareness on climate change mitigation.
15 – Life on land
To promote sustainable forest management and halt the loss of biodiversity, our commitment is to support development of biodiversity.
16 – Peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development
To promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development and develop effective, accountable and transparent institutions, our commitment is to become a sustainable and transparent corporate citizen in all the locations where we operate and to ensure compliance for our business and our operations.
